our programs
We provide four dynamic programs designed to empower children and strengthen communities:

Bisakana Day:
“Play and Have Fun” Celebrating Diversity, Joy, and Community
Bisakana Day, meaning play and have fun, is a vibrant program that brings families and communities together to celebrate who we are.
Through culture, music, dance, food, and games, we create moments of joy, healing, and belonging.
What Happens at Bisakana Day
● Promote cultural exchange and celebration
● Traditional and modern music, dance, Art and Fashion
● Games and activities for all ages
● Shared meals highlighting African cultures
● Activities that build confidence and identity
Why It Matters
Amani Kids believes that joy is a form of healing. Bisakana Day strengthens cultural pride, builds friendships, and helps children feel rooted
in their identity while feeling welcomed in their new community.

Amani Connect:
Connecting Children to the Academic Support They Need to Thrive
Amani Connect is the heart of our educational mission. Through this program, we link immigrant and refugee children to the academic
resources that help them succeed in school and build confidence.
What Amani Connect Does
● Home tutoring, and assist with early child school enrollment.
● Refers families to after-school programs that fit their needs
● Links children to community institutions and educational programs
● Connects families to academic and developmental resources
● Helps parents understand school expectations and advocate for their child
Why It Matters
Many African immigrant and refugee families struggle to navigate the U.S. education system. Amani Connect ensures that no child is left behind
by providing them with the right support, at the right time, from trusted helpers.

Sauti Safe Space:
A Program Promoting Self-Expression, Healing, and Family Support
“Sauti” means voice, and this program creates a safe space where children and families can express themselves, share their stories, and get the emotional
support they need.
What Sauti Safe Place Offers
● Storytelling for healing and empowerment
● Mental health support and referral pathways
● Training, workshops, and conferences for families
● Parenting and family communication tools
● Interpretation and language support in multiple African languages
● Safe spaces for youth to discuss identity, belonging, and challenges
Why It Matters
Many families arrive with trauma, stress, or cultural barriers that make adjustment difficult. Sauti Safe Place ensures that no child or parent faces these challenges
alone.
We lift their voices, honor their experiences, and provide tools that bring healing and connection.

International Outreach:
Supporting Children in Africa Through Education, Sponsorship, and Emergency Relief
This program extends Amani Kids’ mission beyond borders. We believe in honoring our roots and giving back to children and communities in Africa who face
hardship.
What This Program Provides
● Educational support for children in need
● Sponsorships for school fees, supplies, and uniforms
● Emergency assistance for orphans and vulnerable children
● Support to families facing crisis or hardship
● Community-based projects that uplift and empower children and Youth.
Why It Matters
Many of the children we serve in the U.S. have deep connections to family members and communities back home. By supporting children in Africa, we
strengthen identity, honor heritage, and help entire families build a brighter future.
