Amani Kids is a community-centered nonprofit dedicated to supporting African refugee and immigrant families in the United States. Through culturally responsive programs, we empower children and families to thrive by providing access to education, resources, and a strong sense of identity and belonging.
Bisakana Day:
Bisakana means "Play and Have Fun" in Lingala.
Our joyful flagship community event for all ages where all African countries are represented. Families experience healing and belonging through African music, dance, games, food, fashion show, and a community resources fair that connects them to support.
Amani Connect:
Amani means "Peace."
We meet the needs of the immigrant community by using our African languages to connect and refer families to vital resources that help them thrive.
International Outreach:
Sauti Safe Space:
Sauti means "Voice" in Swahili.
A safe and nurturing environment where kids express themselves, storytelling, build confidence, and know their voice matters. Kids receive mentorship, mental health support, and learn social-emotional and life skills through guest mentors.
We extend our love back home by helping children in Africa through emergency aid, education, youth development, and partnerships with local organizations.
